He Has Risen

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:5-6)

The suffering is over. We are free from sin. Most importantly, He has risen.

How is it even possible for someone to rise from the dead? Unless you count zombies, I don’t think it’s possible. Who can do the impossible? God can. He made his one and only son rise from the dead.

I don’t know about you, but I would liked to have seen the looks on the faces of the ones who killed Jesus, the ones who didn’t believe. Do you think they believed after they saw this amazing miracle? I bet they did but felt terrible.

Do you associate seeing with believing? If you do, then being a believer of Jesus might be difficult for you. When we were little, we believed in Santa and the Easter Bunny, but we never saw them. Basically, we worshipped them because they brought us those gifts all little kids dream about. We should have the same child like faith in Jesus. A dumbfounded faith that becomes an obsession, even if we haven’t physically seen him.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

What do we have to gain if we don’t believe? Jesus is giving us a sweet deal in these lines of the Bible. He’s promising us eternal life if we live by believing in him. He’s the life we want to live and follow.

Let’s walk in the footsteps of Jesus today. There are no more tears. There’s no more sorrow. You are made clean. The Lord loves us enough to send down his one and only son to die for our sins. That is the kind of love we want to be in. The everlasting love with the one who gave His life for us.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3

Challenge:
Take advantage of His great mercy on this Easter Sunday. Let yourself live a new life with Christ, and let it start today. He has risen. Let go of all your imperfections, grudges, and regrets. Your soul has been renewed.
